We May Not Be …

…living in our house yet, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t enjoy the comforts of home. Since we couldn’t afford to keep our comfy couch in storage, we figured, hey, why not enjoy it?  Even though it is somewhat exposed to the elements (still no doors or windows on the East, West & North end walls),  it’s great being able to relax after a hard day’s work and enjoy the view.  You can see from the picture that we put the couch on wheels. This is so we can move it out of the way when we are working in the house.  But we like the idea so much that we will be putting all our furniture on wheels when we finally do move in.

Speaking of moving in, we started topastedGraphic_1.pdf get the shell ready for waterproofing.

 

 

 

Jeff applied a water blocking coating at the seam where the shell meets the footing.  On top of this, I mortared a slight “ramp” sloping away from the shell.  This will help the final waterproofing membrane shed water down to the drain tile.
